Terms

Last updated 18 October 2026.

By using SI Pets you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

The app

SI Pets is free with 2 pets. The Full household is a one-time purchase for your own use: website license keys support up to 5 active Macs per key; App Store purchases work on Macs using your Apple Account. SI Pets Plus ($4.99 a month or $49 a year) includes the expanded household and every feature while subscribed; it renews automatically until you cancel, and stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Buying the Full household separately keeps its benefits after Plus ends. Keep your license key to yourself: don't sell, share or publish it, because a key that spreads can be switched off. We may update the app; updates won't take away anything you bought, and no plan ever takes a pet or a memory away.

Friends and LAN Mode

Friends and LAN Mode are for people aged 13 and over, and the app asks for your birth month and year before you can use either; the answer stays on your Mac. Friends is invite-only. Be kind: display names, pet names and notes that harass, threaten, impersonate others or break the law aren't allowed. Use Report on any friend or note to tell us, or email [email protected]. We review reports and may remove households that break this rule; if you think we removed one by mistake, email us and we'll look again.

Who sells to you, taxes and refunds

App Store purchases are sold and refunded by Apple. Website purchases are sold through our payment provider, Polar, which acts as the merchant of record, charges any taxes that apply (the checkout shows the final amount before you pay) and sends your receipt. Website purchases can be refunded within 30 days; email us. This doesn't take away any refund or cancellation right you have by law, including a right to change your mind about a purchase where your country gives you one. Cancel Plus anytime: on the App Store in your account's subscriptions, on the website from your account. Your pets stay either way: extra pets go on vacation until you pick which 3 stay out, or until Plus or the Full household is back.

No guarantees, and your legal rights

SI Pets is provided as is. Helpers are friendly reminders, not a guarantee: don't rely on a cartoon cat for anything critical. Scores, weather, flights, service status and exchange rates come from other companies and can be late or wrong; don't use them for decisions that matter. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer, or our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited.

Names that aren't ours

Team, club, league, airline and other names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which team or flight you follow. SI Pets is not affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
